Hill tribes suffer as cold weather strikes mountain areas.
A cold front blasting from China is causing suffering among the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand where temperatures have plummeted to 9 degrees. Requests for help with warm clothing have gone out from the authorities in those areas. Down South the problem has been high seas making it impossible for local fishermen to venture into the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. Weather promises to improve by December 27th.
